I read ahead early so that I won't be bogged down with other work during the week. I both liked and disliked this chapter. I do not believe that the future of the western world, basically, rests in the hands of graphic designers and illustrators alike. The entire designing market is saturated heavily. People are moving away from the cubical jobs and stay at home mom duties...this may be partly due to the things Pink outlined in Chapter Three (Abundance, Automation, and Asia), so he does make some valid points. However. This is a big however, mind you. This doesn't just go for America. This goes for the entire world. Everyone wants to design video game characters, now. Everyone wants to be a graphic artist. Everyone wants to paint digital paintings. This might be the way of the future, but it's already entirely clogged and almost completely realized.
